White Oak Bark
The inner bark of this tree acts as a very strong astringent. A strong tea made from the bark can be used as a douche for vaginal discharge and womb troubles. When given as an enema it will expel pin worms. When used in a suppository or given as an enema it will shrink hemorrhoids and stop the bleeding. For douching and enemas use the tea as hot as possible.
To make a tea simmer a tablespoon of inner bark in a pint of water for 10 minutes. You may drink up to 3 cups a day.
When taken internally it will help to stop bleeding ulcers, bleeding in the lungs, bleeding in the bowel and bleeding in the mouth (ie: gums). In addition, White Oak Bark tea will help with diarrhea and dysentery.
White Oak bark will increase the flow of urine and help to remove kidney stones. It will also help with sores and blood in the bladder.
White Oak bark can be used to bring down a fever.
To treat varicose veins drink the tea internally and bathe the legs with the tea 3-4 times a day.
